INDUSTRIAL IOT – MONIDAS & MONICORE.ONE
Know what is happening.
Before it happens.
With MONIDAS Enterprise Solution and your own private LoRaWAN networks, you monitor business-critical units across the entire site – from reactors and storage tanks to utilities and environmental measuring points. Ideal for pharma, chemicals, leisure parks and industrial parks.
Instead of months-long projects, you start with a few sensors, one gateway and clearly defined alarm limits. Critical conditions are detected early, before quality, safety or production suffer.
MONIDAS – Business-Critical Monitoring
A private, encrypted LoRaWAN network on your site. No mandatory cloud, no long cable runs – but full transparency over your critical areas.
- Typical applications
- Pharma, chemical parks, tank farms, leisure parks, logistics sites
- Business-Critical Units
- Reactors, cold chains, storage areas, technical rooms, wastewater / environment
- Data path
- Sensor → private LoRaWAN gateway → MONIDAS / MoniCore.one → alarm / reporting
- Benefit
- Early detection of problems before plants stop or quality suffers.
Technologies behind it:
MONIDAS platform
The MONIDAS platform is the dashboard for measurements, alarms, trends and audits. Levels, indoor air quality, temperatures, energy consumption or mobile containers – all in one interface. Alarms, trend analyses and reports are clearly structured and auditable.
MoniCore.one is the GMP-ready evolution for qualified environments: validatable temperature and environmental loggers, audit trail, escalation chains and reporting that integrates into existing quality systems.
Private LoRaWAN networks on your site
We build a closed, encrypted LoRaWAN network on your premises:
- Coverage of buildings, outdoor areas and critical infrastructure
- Data stays local – integration into your OT/IT network, no cloud required
- Years of battery life, even in hard-to-reach areas
- Redundant gateways and radio-quality monitoring for high availability
Selected practical examples
MONIDAS focuses on business-critical units in pharma, chemicals, leisure parks and industrial plants. MoniCore.one is the GMP-ready evolution for qualified temperature and environmental monitoring – with alarms before deviations occur. Some typical scenarios:
Business-critical units in a chemical and pharma park
In an existing chemical park, key buildings and supply points were retrofitted with MONIDAS: tank farms, ventilation systems, technical rooms and several business-critical units. The LoRaWAN network was designed to provide stable coverage both indoors and outdoors.
Monitored values include temperature, humidity, CO₂ levels and energy consumption. Operators recognise early when conditions become critical – for example due to overcrowding, insufficient ventilation or failing units.
CO₂ as an indicator of indoor air quality
In busy meeting and training rooms, MONIDAS shows the current CO₂ level and temperature. If values exceed defined thresholds, the responsible persons are notified automatically or ventilation is adjusted.
This keeps indoor air quality stable even at high occupancy – a measurable contribution to health, productivity and HSE compliance.
Mobile reactors and containers – temperature under control
Wireless temperature monitoring was implemented for mobile reactors and containers. The sensors are mounted directly at critical points and transmit values to MONIDAS in short cycles.
As soon as the temperature exceeds defined limits, an alarm chain is triggered. The trend clearly shows how, for example, an exothermic process develops – including documentation for later evaluation.
Efficient energy monitoring with a wireless current clamp
A wireless LoRa current clamp is temporarily installed in control cabinets to analyse current draw, load peaks or unexpected consumption – without intervening in the existing system.
This makes it possible to identify energy hotspots, detect incorrect settings and prove savings potential – a solid basis for investment decisions.
Storage areas and big bags – safeguarding product quality
Temperature and humidity in warehouses and intermediate storage are monitored continuously. One focus is on big bags and bagged products, where climate directly affects product quality.
Deviations are detected early so that ventilation, relocation or other measures can be initiated in time – before goods become unusable.
Push & Forget – smart button for quick reports
With the MONIDAS smart button, operators can report faults, deviations or special events at the push of a button. The button is connected via LoRaWAN and triggers defined workflows – such as notifying shift management, maintenance or quality assurance.
The smart button can be used along the supply chain – from supplier through internal logistics to delivery. Events are documented with time stamp and location.
Walkdown checks and inspections via QR code
For emergency showers, fire extinguishers, eye-wash stations or other safety-relevant equipment, MONIDAS offers a walkdown solution: the inspector scans the QR code, confirms the condition and can document deviations immediately.
All inspections are stored in an audit-proof manner – including time, location, inspector and remarks. Overdue inspections are highlighted automatically.
MoniCore.one – GMP-ready temperature logging
Building on the MONIDAS experience, MoniCore.one was developed as a GMP-ready evolution. Focus: qualified warehouses, cold chains, clean rooms, production areas and all zones subject to regulatory requirements.
- Temperature and environmental logging with audit trail, designed for GMP use
- Alarming and escalation before deviations occur
- Reports for OOS investigations, CAPAs and inspections
- Multi-tenant, cross-plant view for large sites
Note: qualification and validation in line with GMP/GAMP 5 take place within the operator’s quality system. We support with requirement, test and qualification documentation.
Excerpt from a field report
In a pharmaceutical environment, several business-critical units were equipped with MONIDAS and later MoniCore.one. The previously purely reactive handling of deviations was replaced by early-warning monitoring with clear alarm limits.
As a result, temperature fluctuations on air-conditioning units could be clearly attributed, wiring problems uncovered and unnecessary service calls avoided. At the same time, the data is available for audits and internal quality reports.

Start a pilot – within a few days.
Together we plan a clearly defined pilot: a few selected business-critical units, a handful of sensors, one or two gateways and a focused dashboard. The goal is fast, reliable insight – not a two-year IT mega-project.
Request a pilot projectLet’s talk about your plant.
Whether you are building your first LoRaWAN network or already have sensors in use: we support you from concept to commissioning – including troubleshooting when existing solutions do not work as expected.
On request, we also support pre-studies, option comparisons and business cases comparing conventional wiring and wireless solutions.
